Monkey war troops hit US mainland

BELLEVIEW, Fla. (AP) -- Puerto Rican officials are hoping that some central Florida researchers can help them deal with a monkey infestation.

About 30 patas monkeys have been exported from Puerto Rico to the Florida International Teaching Zoo in Sumter County. Zoo officials have pledged to take at least 300 monkeys and find homes for them with zoological organizations around the world.
