Homeless live above high-price hotel
MILAN, Italy, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- There's homeless, and then there's homeless, as evidenced by a group of Italian vagrants camping out in the attic above a seven-star hotel in Milan.
The 10 tramps took refuge atop the ritzy Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, just floors above the Galleria Townhouse hotel, where guests pay $5,000 a night, The Daily Telegraph reported.
The secret hideaway -- complete with a washing machine, refrigerator and kitchen sink -- was found by police during a routine service check of the building, which is home to stores such as Prada and Gucci. Police discovered two dormitories filled with clothes, sleeping bags and empty beer bottles.
