You want fivers with that?

HSBC has been forced to defend its security procedures for the third time after a customer found his branch open on a Saturday and then became locked in.

Jay Whitmarsh wandered into the deserted branch with his dog on Saturday morning, thinking staff had just nipped round the back for a moment.

Only when the door slammed behind him, locking him in, did he realise that the bank was actually closed but had been left unlocked by mistake.
