At least she didn't go for a hug

A lawyer representing her husband in a drug case wound up in a prison cell herself after allegedly "taking the law into her own hands" and injuring an assistant U.S. attorney with a violent handshake in Florida, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.

After a hearing involving her husband Anthony, Kathy Brewer Rentas, 49, approached U.S. Assistant Attorney Jennifer Keene and insisted on shaking her hand. When she did, Brewer Rentas "forcefully grabbed onto Keene's right hand and squeezed it, pulling Keene toward her, forcing Keene off balance. With Keene in hand, Brewer made an upward, then a quick downward motion and pulled Keene toward the ground moving her forward, almost causing Keene to fall to the ground," U.S. Marshal Robert Kremenik wrote in a misdemeanor arrest report obtained by the Sun-Sentinel.
