Good thing it wasn't a proctology lesson
UPPSALA, Sweden, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A lecturer at Sweden's Uppsala University has been found guilty of assault after he slapped a student during a medical demonstration.
The female student said she was asked by the lecturer to lie on her back in front of the about 70 students in her class as part of a demonstration on how to check a patient's level of consciousness, The Local reported Thursday.
The student said the lecturer then proceeded to slap her several times in the face with enough force that her cheeks remained red two hours later when she reported the incident to school administrators.
The lecturer said in court that the slapping was part of an educational demonstration. However, he was convicted of assault by Uppsala District Court and ordered to pay a fine.
