Know thine enemy
Iowa State University’s Anthropology Department is offering a course during spring semester entitled Primate Behavior (Anthr 350X/550X). This is an introduction to the Order Primates with a focus on their behavior. Biological and social adaptations of monkeys, apes and prosimians will be explored as well as basic evolutionary concepts, current trends and theories in the field of Primatology, and issues related to primate conservation. There will be parts of this class streamed from Senegal, Africa. The course, delivered on-line in WebCT, may be taken for undergraduate or graduate credit; a non-credit option is also available. The course dates are March 10-May 9 with a registration deadline of March 1.
