Not that there's anything wrong with that

It seems that SpongeBob the monkey's run of bad luck isn't over yet.

The Bolivian squirrel monkey has survived getting kidnapped and, once that was over, getting bullied by other monkeys and having to move home again.

Now it seems that he can't get a girlfriend at his new home at Battersea Park Children's Zoo in London.

Staff tried to introduce SpongeBob to some female squirrel monkeys there, but they chased him away - because he wasn't big enough to take their fancy.

One keeper said: 'Squirrel monkeys can be quite aggressive.

Miserable

"They didn't want him in there because he wasn't in breeding condition - he was not heavy enough. They chased him around and he looked miserable."

SpongeBob has now been moved in with Quince, another young male.
